BEECH ISLAND -- Entered into rest Wednesday, April 29, 2009, Dr. Glenn R. Nichols, 55, beloved husband of Mrs. Mitzi Lott Nichols of 461 Douglas Drive, and son of Mrs. Betty Nichols of Duluth, Ga. and the late Mr. Robert Nichols. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009 at Aiken Church of Christ with Mr. Moses Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Bath. Mr. Nichols was a native of Fort Benning, Ga. and had made Aiken county his home for most of his life. Glenn was a Church of Christ Preacher and started the Church of Christ congregation in Beech Island. He was a 1977 graduate of International Bible College, Florence, Ala. and had his bachelors, masters, and doctorate degree in psychology. Glenn has been employed by DHEC for the past 11 years here in Aiken County. Presently he was a disease intervention specialist. Glenn also coached soccer with the North Augusta Recreational Department. He will be missed by all who knew him, and loved him.

Glenn is survived by his mother Betty Nichols and his siblings, Dianne Leach, Rob Nichols and Kevin Nichols and his precious wife Mitzi Nichols along with their 4 boys, Glenn, Alan, Jesse and Casey Nichols.
