Omer L. Guyer, May 1, 1916 - Dec. 30, 2003, Omer L. GUYER, 87, Denver passed away at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday at Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru. Born to Roy and Ida Opple Guyer at the Guyer homestead near Denver, he married Evelyn Jones of LaFontaine on April 19, 1940. She preceded him in death on Dec. 24, 1999. He was owner and operator of a farm in Denver. He was a former employee of International Harvester, Peru; McMahan Construction Co., Rochester, and Delco Electronics, Kokomo, from which he retired in December 1983. He was a member of Boundary Line church of Christ, LaFontaine. Survivors include one sister, Esther L. Turnipseed, Millers Merry Manor, Peru; one daughter, Colleen and husband Howard Whittlesey, Denver; four sons, Jay Guyer and wife Patty, Florence, Ky., Jaun Guyer and wife Beverly, Brazil, Dan Guyer and wife Tanja, Tampa, Fla., Dawson Guyer and wife Renee, Brownsburg; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Earl, one son, Carson, and one daughter, Anita M. Lord. Services will be at 11 a.m Saturday at McClain Funeral Home, Denver, with Sam Miller and Mike Willis officiating. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.
