Lorraine Moore, age 77, a resident of Springbrook, died on Saturday, December 6, 2008, at Golden Living Center- Valley of Hayward Nursing Home.
Lorraine C. Slayton was born on April 19, 1931, to Albert and Arvilla (Evans) Slayton. On September 8, 1950, she was united in marriage to Arnold Moore. She worked as a cook for many years at the Spooner Health System, Nick's Family Restaurant, and also farmed.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years- Arnold, 4 children: Wanda (Ernie) Kessler, Kathy (Marv) Peterson, Jerry (Rose) Moore, Randy (Lorma) Moore, 15 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, brother Wayne Slayton, sisters Dorothy (Eddie) Welskoff, Ellenor Holmes, Darlene (Norbert) Gundry, Judy Momson, and many nephews and nieces.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her parents- Albert and Arvilla Slayton, sister Beverly Slayton, son Richard Moore, grandsons: Ernie (Buckwheat) Kessler, Michael Mustafa, and great granddaughter Alexis Gerovac.
Funeral services for Lorraine Moore will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008, at 1pm, at the Dahl Funeral Home with Pastor Wade Bishop officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from noon until 1pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Earl Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Jessie Kessler, Frank and Pete Irvine, Elmer Zeireth, Ron Draves, and Jamie Sjervey.
