Stanley Brewer 1897-1963

Stanley Everette Brewer, a long time resident of Bagley passed away at the Fargo Veterans Hospital on Saturday morning, August 10, 1963. He had been a patient there for the past 12 days. He was born at Franklin, Illinois on August 29, 1897. His parents were John and Florence Brewer. He moved from Illinois to Alexandria, Minnesota in 1911 and came to Bagley in 1920. He was a Sergeant in the army during World War I and was a member of the American Legion Post 16. Stanley Brewer and Lenora Hudspeth were united in marriage on October 7, 1919 at Alexandria, Minnesota.
Besides his wife, Lenora, he leaves the following children, Harlan of Grand Forks, North Dakota; (Francis) Mrs. N. Martinez of Albuquerque, New Mexico; (Jean) Mrs. Peter Sciuchetti; Great Falls, Montana; (Mary Louis) Mrs. Lester Shaw, San Diego, California; Stanley of Moorhead; Ronald of Denver, Colorado; Kenneth, U. S. Air Force, Spain; (Jeanette) Mrs. Duane Shelquist, Bemidji; Sam of Stanley, North Dakota; Catherine Ann of Bagley. There are 24 grandchildren. Also one sister, Mrs. Elmer Spencer of Jenkins, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Joey.
Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church in Bagley, Wednesday, August 14 at 2 p.m. Rev. Roy Satre officiated with burial in the City Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home . Irvin Blix Post No. 16 of the American Legion was in charge of the Military Honors.
