George F. Lowe, 90, retired farmer, died at 5 pm Sunday in his home in Macon following an illness of two years. Mr. Lowe was born Jan. 1,1859 in Summerfield,Ill, a son of Capt. George G.and Martha Phillips Lowe.
He was married March 24, 1887 to Effie Reedy who died July 2, 1931. A daughter, Bessie Low Shultz also preceded him in death. He leaves three children, Mrs. Faith King of Chicago, Wayne Lowe, Moweaqua and George M. Lowe of Macon, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Macon Methodist church.
The body is at the Glenn funeral home in Macon. Funeral services will be in the Macon Methodist church with burial in Macon cemetery.
