The son of Thomas Chase of Yarmouth, he married Thankful (Berry) Chase widow of John Chase and was the pastor at the Baptist Church in West Harwich from Sept. 19, 1757 until March 31, 1777. He died at Dennis at the age of 80 yrs. & is buried in North Harwich.
