Nevada Emma Hollinger

LYONS - Nevada Emma Hollinger, 81, died July 15, 1995, a t Lyons District Hospital, Lyons.

She was born March 14, 1914, at Alhambra, III., the daughter of Louis and Ella Bleisch Knackstedt. She graduated from Little River High School. She was a longtime Rice County resident, growing up in Little River and moving to Great Bend in 1940 and then to Lyons in 1968. She was a homemaker. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church, Great Bend, belonged to United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Barthea Sunday School Class, the Briscilla Club and the Silver Threads, all at Lyons, and was a former Gray Lady at Lyons District Hospital.

On Nov. 26, 1930, she married Harold Saint at Little River. He died Feb. 22, 1967. On Oct. 19. 1968 she married Howard Hollinger at Hays. He died July 10,1991.

Survivors include: a son, Gary Saint, Idaho Springs, Colo.: a daughter. Donna Smith, Edmond, Okla.: two sisters, Lorene Snyder, rural Rice County, and Eleanor Plunkett, Lyons: six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at United Methodist Church, Lyons, with the Rev. Gary Appleton presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery.

Memorials may be sent to the church or to Rice-Reno County Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
