Suggested edit: Hello,
I came across this gentleman's obituary and it seemed worth sharing. I obtained his DOB from the vermontcivilwar dot org website. It includes information about his brother, Rodney (#46615600), who also attained BG rank.

Since the obituary was published before 1925, it is no longer covered by copyright and the text can be used freely on the memorial page, if you choose. It may help future family/historical researchers.
Best regards & be well,
Sheila
