John W Gaston was born on the Cheyenne reservation in Wyoming, July 18, 1908. He came to Montana as a boy of 10 years. As a young man, he ranched on Fallon Creek, later moving to the Mildred community where he and his sister, Dorothy Gaston, owned and operated a ranch for many years.
Mr Gaston died September 29, at St Vincent's hospital in Billings, after a prolonged illness.
Mr Gaston is survived by his sister, Dorothy, a half-brother, Charles Lee Gaston of Sheridan WY, a niece, Ann Sickler of Billings, and a nephew, Edgar Haughawaout. He was preceded in death by his parents, A L and Emma May Gaston, a brothr, Lloyd of Gillette WY; and a sister, Hazel Haughawout, of Mildred.
