Dorothy Lucille Gaston

Dorothy Lucille Gaston was born May 12, 1907, at Moulton IA, the daughter of Emma Mae Morrow and Alpheus Leonidas Gaston. She came to Montana as a child, when her parents settled in the Mildred community in 1916. She attended the Whitney and Mildred schools. Miss Gaston and her brother, John, ranched on the family place on O'Fallon Creek for many years. She enjoyed country living, nature, her animals - and was an avid reader of mystery books. Following John's death in 1978, she remained on the homestead alone until her failing health necessitated her leaving.
Miss Gaston died at Prairie Community Hospital in Terry on September 26, 1983, a victim of cancer. She was 76 years of age and had lived in Mildred nearly all her life.
