Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Akin, life time resident of Westville, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Zoe Shackelford with whom she made her home, on January 1, after a long illness, was conducted Tuesday from the Roberts Funeral Chapel with Rev. Carl Foster, pastor of the local First Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Akins was born in Westville, the daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wagnon, pioneer residents of this community, and she lived here her entire life. Survivors include the daughter Mrs. Zoe Shackelford, and one son, A. T. Akin, Mohawk, OR, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
