Mother of Local Advertising Manager Will be Buried Today
Funeral services for Mrs. J. Whitley Herron, 74 years old, mother of Colonel Leroy W. Herron, Advertising Manager of The Evening Star, who died Sunday in Atlanta, Georgia will be held at 2PM today at the home of Colonel Herron, 3111 Garfield Street Northwest.
The Rev. George F. Dudley, rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Herron was the widow of J. Whit Herron, Business Manager of The Star for many years. Born in Orlando, Maine she spent the greater part of her life in Washington. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. James H. Butner. She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
