He was born May 16, 1938, at Carson Lake to the late Clarence and Alma Counts.
Survivors include his sisters, Mary Wilkey and Shirley Wilkey, both of Osceola, and Glenda Spain of Caraway.
Preceding him in death were sisters, Gertrude Brown, Ruby Buchannan, Estell Vernon, Vena Haley, Linda Rinehart and one infant; and brothers, Melvin Counts, Charles Counts and one infant.
Graveside services were in Bassett Cemetery under direction of Wilson's Osceola Funeral Home.
