MRS. WM. F. COOPER DEAD

Former Madison Woman Leaps to Death from Seventh Story Window

Madison friends were shocked today to learn of the tragic death of Mrs. William F. Cooper, younger daughter of the late Dr. Joseph H. Barnard and Mrs. Barnard, which occurred at her New York city home Saturday night.

Mrs. Cooper was born and reared in Madison, was educated in the public schools of this city and in private schools in Cincinnati and the east, and lived in this city until her marriage.

Mrs. Cooper was a favorite in her social and church circles during her life in this city and has visited here a number of times during the life of her father, who was for many years pastor of the old Second Presbyterian church and chaplain at the state hospital.

Besides the widower, she is survived by two brothers, George Grey Barnard, now in Europe, and Evan, of Hennessy, Okla., and one sister, Mrs. James Hargan, of New York city.
