Cindy graduated from Rogers High in 1983 with honors and went on to the University of Toledo to pursue a nursing degree.
After graduating, she later became well respected by her peers in the field of staffing nurses.
She affiliated herself with different community organizations such as Black Chamber of Commerce and P.B. Women's Democratic Party.
She enjoyed traveling, playing trivia, dancing, listening to music, concerts and comedy.
She worked hard to ensure her 3 daughters had a private education.
Although she was diagnosed with lupus, she still found ways to stay busy by continuing her education and had recently met the requirements to be a nail tech.
She also was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and was a part of Richards Rd. West English Congregation.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her spouse, Benford E. Hester Jr., father, Tencil; mother, Jackie; daughters, Keris, Tiffany, Dominique; brother, Cedric and grandmother, Bell Zora.

Wake service will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dale-Riggs Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service 10 a.m. Tuesday at West English Congregation, Brother Anthony Lewis officiant. Burial Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
