Mary Muriel Mattingly, who turned 100 on September 26, died November 11, 2006, at Hillcrest Healthcare. She was born in Daviess Co., KY, to the late James Paul Calhoun and Mary Irene Clements. She was retired from St. Mary Catholic School, in Griffith, IN, where she had been a secretary and paralegal. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Wendell Mattingly in 1990. Also sons, James & Bucky Mattingly; and daughters, Betty Popovich, Dolly Mitchell, Pat Sanders and Wanda Jean Mattingly. She is survived by daughters: Eleanor Hochstetler, Indianapolis, Renee Jewell, Baytown, TX and Donna Warren of Owensboro; sons: Joe Mattingly, Curdsville, Art Mattingly, Hawaii and John Mattingly, Arizona; 48 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Lillian Calhoun, Owensboro and a brother, Bill Calhoun, Louisville; and sons-in-law, Al Sanders, Crown Point, IN, and William (Tots) Popovich, Griffith, IN.
