She was born in McLean County, was owner of Barr Upholstery Shop in Newman and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Reed. Her husband, George Rowland Barr, died in 1982. Survivors include 2 sons, James R. Barr of Carson City, NV, and Charles David Barr of Maceo; 2 daughters, Mrs. F.C. (Virginia) Porreca of Lima, OH, and Mrs. Robert (Margie) O'Brien of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, J.D. Coin, Edward Coin and Oscar Coin, all of Calhoun; and 2 sisters, Helen Bartimus of Owensboro and Anna Catherine Nance of Calhoun. Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.
