Elizabeth I. Barr, 81, of 160 Murphy Road, Newman, died Tuesday, June 13, 1995, at Mercy Hospital in Owensboro. She was born in McLean County, was owner of Barr Upholstery Shop in Newman and was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Reed. Her husband, George Rowland Barr, died in 1982. Survivors include 2 sons, James R. Barr of Carson City, NV, and Charles David Barr of Maceo; 2 daughters, Mrs. F.C. (Virginia) Porreca of Lima, OH, and Mrs. Robert (Margie) O'Brien of Owensboro; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, J.D. Coin, Edward Coin and Oscar Coin, all of Calhoun; and 2 sisters, Helen Bartimus of Owensboro and Anna Catherine Nance of Calhoun. Haley-McGinnis Funeral Home in Owensboro is in charge of arrangements.
