Hugh Ebelhar, 54, of Sorgho died Monday, November 10, 1980, at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital. He was born in Daviess County, was a retired farmer, was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, the Holy Name Society, Travelers Protective Association, the Farm Bureau, Father Conner Council #6101, and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife, Naomi Clark Ebelhar; four sons, Tom, Alan & Brent Ebelhar, all of Owensboro, and Terry Ebelhar, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Hugh (Connie) Calhoun of Radcliff, Mary Ann McCann and Joy Ebelhar, both of Owensboro, Mrs. Tony (Christa) Hundley of Newman, and Jeannie & Jan Ebelhar, both at home; 11 grandchildren; his mother Mrs. Leo Ebelhar of Sorgho; three brothers, Russell & Clarence Ebelhar, both of Owensboro, and Douglas Ebelhar of Hendersonville, TN; and six sisters, Mrs. McKinley (Mary) Guinn of Owensboro, Sister Helen Leo of Knottsville, Beverly Ebelhar of Sorgho, Mrs. Bill (Helen) Reinstedler of Louisville, Mrs. George (Barbara) Powers of Bowling and Mrs. Walt Mearkle of Geneva, IL. Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Burial in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation after 10 a.m. Wednesday at Delbert J. Glenn Funeral Home where prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
