Uintah Basin Record (TU) September 28, 1934. Obituary: Mr. Tuttle was born Sept. 13, 1854 at Winchester, Indiana. He came with his father and mother to Missouri at the age of seven years. He was educated in the Missouri public schools and later in the University of Missouri at Columbia. At the age of 19, he embarked on a teaching career, and held life certificates from Missouri, Colorado, Oklahoma and Utah. He taught school in Duchesne County for six years. A lifelong Democrat, Mr. Tuttle was elected county chairman of the party in 1932. He resigned from this position when he was appointed manager of the National Reemployment Service in Duchesne County, when the service was organized a year ago. He held this position, residing in Duchesne until the service was consolidated, and the office moved to Roosevelt. He was a member of the Presbyterian church of Myton, and of the Knights of Pythias, and the Woodmen of the World.

Surviving are his widow, to whom he was married October 9, 1892, at Milersburg, Missouri; their son, Harold of Myton; and two children by a former marriage, Dr. Floyd Tuttle of Blue Spring, Missouri and Mrs. Maud DuLaney of Tampa, Florida; five grandchildren.
