Funeral services for Winford Homer Alexander, 79, of Lometa were held Friday morning in Adamsville Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Conley officiating. Burial followed in Straley Cemetery in Adamsville.
Mr. Alexander died Tuesday in Arizona.
Born Aug. 25, 1914, in Lampasas County, he was the son of Edward and Lydia Hall Alexander. He married Clara Dooley on Oct. 2, 1938, in Atherton Community.
Mr. Alexander was a farmer and rancher and was a member of Adamsville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Glenn Alexander of Grand Ridge, Fla.; one daughter, Kathleen Hamilton of Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Lloyd Alexander of Lometa; three sisters, Pattie Stagner of Lometa, Ollie Phears of Arlington, and Idell Winchester of Tulsa, Okla.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife in 1991.
Briggs-Gamel-Wilcox Funeral Directors of Lampasas were in charge of arrangements.
