TERRY MARKHAM McKEE, JR. of Friendswood, Texas passed into eternal life on January 7, 2010. Beloved son, brother, and uncle, Terry was born on July 29, 1963 in Houston, Texas. Terry's life was one of service to others. Always "just a phone call away", Terry was particularly devoted to looking after his parents and family. His spirit of service extended to his community where his volunteerism with the City of Friendswood Fire Marshal's Office and Office of Emergency Management earned him special recognition during Hurricanes Rita and Ike. He was a passionate HAM radio operator and an expert repair man. During his life, he worked for several residential complexes in the Galveston-Houston area, including the historic Flagship Hotel. He is survived by his parents, Terry and Johnell McKee, Sr., of Friendswood, his siblings Tiffany McKee-Garrett and Kevin Garrett of Friendswood; nephews Zachary and Jacob Garrett, and nieces Margaret, Abigail, Olivia and Mary Garrett. Visitation will begin 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 10727 Hartsook St., Houston, 77034, 713-946-5768, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m., with burial at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Terry's name may be made to the St. Frances Cabrini Building Fund.
