MYTON, Duchesne County - Emma Viola Spencer Tanner, 94, Myton, died Aug. 17, 1970, in a Roosevelt nursing home of natural causes.
Born May 17, 1876, Payson, Utah County, to Hyrum and Sally Elmer Spencer. Married to George Albert Tanner July 7, 1895, Provo. Marriage later solemnized in Salt Lake Temple. He died March 10, 1942. Member LDS Cuurch and Relief Society.
Survivors: sons, daughters; Albert, Dave, Floyd, Frank, all Myton; Mrs. Parley (Cassie) Reid, Salt Lake City; Emery, Roosevelt; Emma, Tumwater, Wash.; Mrs. George (Hazel) Olsen, Helper, Carbon County; 30 grandchildren; 86 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; brothers, Frank Spencer, Birdseye, Utah County; John (Jack) Spencer, Ioka, Duchesne County.
Funeral Thursday, 1 p.m., Myton Ward chapel. Friends call Olpin Mortuary, Roosevelt, Wednesday, 7-9 p.m., and Thursday at ward, 11 a.m. until service. Burial, Myton Cemetery.
