Mrs. Clara Mae Abshier, 80, a 74-year resident of Daisetta, died Tuesday, March 4, in the Autumn Hills Convalescent Center here in Liberty. Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Central Baptist Church in Daisetta with the Rev. R. D. Sjolander officiating. Burial was in the Abshier Cemetery with the Allison Funeral Service directing.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kerrville.
She is survived by three sons: Raymond Abshier of Pacifica, Calif., Arthur Abshier, of Bridge City and Allen Abshier of Kerrville; two daughters: Mrs. Dollie Fuller of Daisetta and Mrs. Mildren McClosky of Daisetta; one brother: Ralph Joscelyn of McAllen; two sisters: Mrs. Ethel Jackson of South Houston and Mrs. Anna Snider of Marham; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
