A.H. Young, age 40, barber at the Johnson Bros. Barber Shop, died Tuesday at his home in this city as a result of having accidentally taken a large amount of poison. He had been ill during the day and went home from the barber shop in the afternoon to take some medicine. Going to the medicine cabinet he picked up a bottle, which he thought to be Sal Hepatica, and took an exceptionally large dose. He suddenly became ill and a physician was summoned. Upon investigation it was found that Young had taken sodium flouride, a deadly poison.

All efforts to revive the man were futile and he died at 7 p.m.

The deceased is survived by a wife and five children.

Funeral services were held Thursday morning at the King Undertaking parlors and interment made in Fairview cemetery.

G.W/ Chapman, brother of Mrs. Young arrived Wednesday to attend the funeral.
