Mrs. Celina Amiot Stricken at R.L.F.

Mrs. Celina Amiot, resident of the Gentilly vicinity for more than 50 years, died at the home of her son Oscar, near Red Lake Falls, Monday, after a brief illness. She was 80 years old.

Mrs. Amiot came to this county with her husband from Canada in the early eighties and homesteaded near Gentilly.

She is survived by six daughters; Mrs. Silas Raymond of International Falls, Mrs. Louis Mercil of Minneapolis, Mrs. Remi Fortier of Crookston, Mrs. Tennis Fortier, Mrs. Henry Brule and Mrs. Henry Martell, all of Gentilly; seven sons, Joseph, Domina, Francis, Oscar Adrian, Armond and Isadore of Gentilly and Red Lake Falls communities. She also has 80 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Her husband died in 1899.

She also has one sister, Mrs. Francis LaBonte, Sr, at Gentilly, four sisters and a brother living in Montreal.

Funeral services will be held at Gentilly in St. Peter's Catholic church at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. Father E. Theillon will sing the requiem high mass. Burial will be at Gentilly.

Age 80 yrs. 8 mos. 15 days.
Her parents were Alexis & Adele (Benoit) Boutillier, both born in Canada.
Informant was Oscar Amiot.

In the 1910 census, 18 yr old teacher Elma Hebert was living with Celina and the youngest 6 children.

In the 1920 census Celina was living with son Isadore.

In the 1930 census Celina was living with daughter Celina and Henry Martell.
