Alfonso "Billy" Mijares, 25, a 1979 graduate of Barstow High School, was killed Saturday, June 27, 1987, while test driving a motorcycle in Provo, Utah. He attended Brigham Young University and served 18 months as a missionary in Boliva for the Church of Latter-day Saints.
Billy is survived by his parents, Juan and Sharon Mijares of Apple Valley, two brothers, Juan and Larry, two sisters, Laura and Marissa.
Services will be held Thursday, July 2, 1987, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop Wilford Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park, Barstow.
