Estacada resident, Billie Bonner, died at his home with his family by his side on Saturday, January 9, 2010. He was 61.
A funeral service will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Estacada First Baptist Church. A procession will follow to Willamette National Cemetery for military honors and burial.

Billie Murriel Bonner was born January 30, 1948 in Pace, Mississippi to Joseph and Bertie Bonner. His family moved to Portland when he was 12. After high school, Billie entered into the Army. While stationed in Korea, he married Hye Suk Kim. They made their home in Portland where they raised their family. They later divorced. He worked for Rockmore International for over 37 years retiring in 2006. In the early 2000's Billie moved to Estacada. On November 8, 2008, he married Carrie Bathurst in Estacada.

Billie loved the Seattle Seahawks, he enjoyed the outdoors, designing and fabricating machinery. If you asked Billie what he loved to do, he would say, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Carrie of Estacada; sons Billy Bonner and his wife Deneen of Gladstone, Richard Bonner of Portland, Tom Bonner and his wife Jana of Happy Valley, Oregon, Adam Thomas of Elma, Washington; daughter Stephanie Myren and her husband Jim of Toutle, Washington; sisters, Relda Upshaw of Buckeye, Arizona, Diane Lundervold of Portland, Brenda Grisso of Gig Harbor, Washington, Anita Coleman of Portland; brothers, Bobbie Bonner of Mossy Rock, Washington, Waymon Bonner of Portland; grandchildren, Austin, Maddi, McKayla, Ethan, Hanna, Ava, Meagan Bonner, Alex and Preston Myren.
