ERSIE DAY KEENE DAVIS, 83, a homemaker, died Aug. 29, 1993, in a Chesapeake hospital. Mrs. Davis was born in Gates County, NC, and was the widow of Barry Leon Davis. She was a member of People's Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Mary E. Jones of Chesapeake and Mrs. E. Faye Brown of Virginia Beach; one son, Joseph M. Hathaway of Chesapeake; one brother, Ernest Keene of Tarbobo, NC; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
