Born Mary Ann GARDNER in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Minnie, as she was known, came to the U.S. in 1872 with her mother Sarah, one year after her father had arrived.
Minnie married Isaac McNeely September 30, 1885, and bore four children, all girls, before Isaac passed away in 1894, at the age of thirty one. Slightly less than 6 months later, another daughter, Frances, was born.

On Oct 28, 1919, Minnie and Seth S. Pelton were married by the Rev. William Schroeder. The witnesses were Martha (Gardner) Halstead and Daniel J. Halstead.

Monticello - Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie McNeely Pelton, widow of Seth Pelton, will be held at the Episcopal Church here at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow, with the Rev. A. S. Winslow officiating.
Mrs. Pelton, who had resided here most of her life, died Saturday night at the Hamilton Avenue Hospital, which is operated by her daughter, Miss Frances McNeely. She was born in Ireland, July twenty-sixth, 1870, a daughter of Thomas and Sarah Farrell Garner. She was brought to America in early life.
Other survivors are her daughters, Mrs. John V. Taylor and Mrs. Mae Pelton, both of Monticello and Mrs. Anthony Aldrich of Massachusetts; a (step) son, Jay Pelton of Monticello; a brother, William Garner, of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Mrs. Sara Haddock of Portland, Ore., and seven grandchildren
Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
