Mrs. Helen Griffin Eitel, 56, of Forest City, died in Rutherford Hospital Saturday morning around 7 o'clock after an extended illness.
Funeral services were planned for this afternoon at 2:30 at First Baptist Church and burial will be at Cool Springs Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur Eitel, one daughter, Mrs. Glenn Jackson, and two sons, James R. Eitel and Melvin Eitel, all of Forest City; four grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard Griffin of Lemon Grove, Calif., and Charles Griffin of Forest City; two sisters, Mrs. Eva Lake of New York, and Mrs. Louise Daniel of Asheville.
She was a daughter of the late J.L. and Edith Doggett Griffin of Rutherford County. Mrs. Eitel was formerly a nurse for Dr. W.M. Elliott, and she was a graduate of the Rutherford Hospital school of nursing in 1927.
