He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War, and was a member of VFW Post 9097, Hurricane. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed gardening.
Born May 23, 1933, he was the son of the late Lloyd Earl Stover and Minnie Belle Garrison Stover. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Louella Stover and Joyce Parsons; and brothers, Herbert Stover and Kenny Stover.
He is survived by a son, Kelly E. Stover Jr. of Red House; daughters, Susan, Teresa Harmon of Eleanor, Terry Fields of Dunbar, and Tina Flora of Winfield; brothers, Nelson Stover of Red House, Gary Stover of Eleanor, Sammy Stover of Shady Spring, and Mike Stover of Red House; sisters, Karen (Larry) Robinson of Winfield, Sharon (Mick) Bailes of Leon, Margaret (James) Davis of Richwood, Ohio, and Freda Higginbotham of Eleanor; former wife, Wanda Stover; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
