Wednesday, August 31, 2005 - A sad phone call from my cousin Karen Ethel MOREY COLE at 2:58 p.m. Her mother, my Aunt Doris, died last night in a hospital in Tempe, Arizona, of Pneumonia. She had only been sick for about a week. Lamia and I had seen her earlier this year in Seattle while she was visiting her grandson. She was my favorite aunt. Doris showed a real interest in my family research and she was always fun to phone when I kept finding more and more information on her and my mother's family line. I have many, many, many wonderful memories of my "Aunt Doris". She had met, Chester, her husband while at Stoney Brook Retreat, the Tuberculosis Hospital in Keene, California, in the early 1940's, the same place my mother met my father. All of them were there to get well from the dreaded "consumption" or Tuberculosis. I will miss her... / Arthur "Art" Allen MOORE III
