JOHN CUNDIFF DEAD.

John Cundiff, one of Meeting Creek's oldest and most respected citizens, died Saturday of dropsy. He was a devoted member of the Cumberland Presbyterian church, an upright man and fine citizen. The deceased was 79 years of age, and his death was the first to occur in a family of nine children, the youngest of whom is now fifty seven years old. He was a brother to Rev. George F. Cundiff, of Vine Grove, Rev. Bryant Cundiff of Mannsville, and Rev. James Cundiff, of Meeting Creek. He was also the father of Rev. N. G. Cundiff and five other children, all of whom survive him. The remains were interred Sunday morning at Smith's Chapel.
