OBITUARY:

W. A. Tillinghast

Services were held Saturday for W. A. Tillinghast Sr., 81, a Sonoma county resident for nearly 40 years, who died Thursday in a Santa Rosa hospital. Mr. Tillinghast, who lived at XXX Reed Ct., was a retired feed and floral salesman, and was born in Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife, Daisy Mae, Healdsburg; sons Wilmer A. Tillinghast Jr., Healdsburg, and Harold and Robert Tillinghast, Sebastopol; Richard Tillinghast of Fresno; Stephen Tillinghast, N.Y.; daughter Mrs. Kenneth Waters, Santa Rosa; a brother in Factoryville, Pa.; 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Services were at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Sebastopol, with one of the deceased’s grandsons, the Rev. Harold Tillinghast, former pastor of Forestville Methodist Church and now with the Citrus Heights Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in Santa Rosa Memorial Park.
