Randy Scott Lester, age 44, a resident of Plains, Montana, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 12, 2004 near Plains.

He was born July 25, 1959 to Richard and Florence (Campbell) Lester at Spooner and raised in the Springbrook area. He attended school at Springbrook and later at Spooner. In 1989 he moved out to White Sulphur Springs, MT and later to Roundup, MT. He has resided in Plains for the past few months. He was employed in forest products as a pulpwood cutter and truck driver. He was an avid outdoors man, and enjoyed the mountains, hunting, fishing, coon dogs and woodworking.

He is survived by three children, Karen, Valerie and Scott Lester, all of Roundup; his grandson D.J. Blackwell; his companion Dari Wheeler and her children; two sisters Peggy (Merton) Zillmer of Shell Lake, and Barb (David) Hartman of Spooner; brother Richard (Ardith) Lester of White Sulphur Springs; his former wife Patty Meyer of Roundup and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Billy.

Memorial services took place Saturday, January 17th, 2004 in White Sulphur Springs.
