She was born on March 6, 1961 in Morgan County, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the Late Ernest Lewis & Avis Wolfenbarger Lewis.
Penny was a Recovery Agent and a loving Quilter & Homemaker. She was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Penny was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Avis Wolfenbarger Lewis; sister, Wendlean Fannin & brother-in-law, Donald Fannin and 2 nephews, Jerry L. Stacy, Jr. and Aron Schott Burchett.
Surviving is her husband, Billy Rogers of West Liberty, KY; daughter, Jessica Barnes of Irvine, KY; 2 sons, Lonnie & Ashley Adkins of West Liberty, KY and Matthew Blake Rogers of Owingsville, KY; 5 granddaughters, Avis Barnes, Laura Barnes, Alexis Marie Adkins, Bryleight Jayden Adkins & Jade Kaleigh Wylie; 5 sisters, Phylis & Dana Kidd, Debbie & Roger Sexton, Sandy & Claude Keeton, Carol & Dean Burchett all of West Liberty, KY and Donna & Glennis Lewis of Hillsboro, KY; 4 brothers, Larry & Mary Lewis of Lexington, KY, Phillip & Lynn Lewis, David & Tammy Lewis and Ernest & Pam Lewis all of West Liberty, KY & a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Rev. Eugene Haney & Bro. Roger Ball officiating.
Burial followed in the Cox Cemetery at Zag, Kentucky in Morgan County.
Visitation was held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, January 1, 2010 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, KY.
