Arthur F. Williams, 61, former resident and native of Vinton, drowned at Spokane, Wash. on Thursday, August 7, 1958, his sister, Esther Williams has been notified. No particulars of the death had been received up to today. Williams had lived in Spokane for about a year.

He was born Aug. 25, 1896, in Vinton, a son of Charles F and Nannie Williams. He served overseas with the armed forces in World War I.

Besides his sister he is survived by five brothers; Gene of Marysville, Wash., Harold of Norwalk. Cal.,Wayne of Tulsa, Okla., Bert of Los Angeles, and Robert of Marion.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Irving. Irving died less than two months ago.
