MRS. MARGARET NEY, PIONEER RESIDENT DIES TUESDAY - Mrs. Margaret Ney, one of the oldest pioneers of the county, wife of the late J. P. Ney, passed away in death at the home of her daughter Mrs. Wm. Stern, early Tuesday morning. She attained an age of 72 years and some months. Death resulted after several weeks illness with the infirmities of old age. The funeral will be held on Friday. Services will be held at the Catholic Church at Holy Cross at ten o'clock in the morning and interment will be made at that cemetery. Rev. Wagner will conduct the obsequies.

Mrs. Ney whose maiden name was Margaret Mans was born in Luxemburg but came to this country with her parents when but six months old. The family settled near Lake Church, and she was a resident of this community ever since. Upon attaining maturity she was married to Mr. Ney and for several years they resided near Lake Church. They then moved to Holy Cross where they resided up to the time of Mr. Ney's death which was in 1920. Since that time she had been making her home with her children.

Deceased is survived by eleven children as follows: Mrs. J. Mannebach, of Sheboygan; Mrs. Nic Mannebach, Seguin, Kansas; Sister Mary Salome, St. Catherine's Convent, Racine; Emil Ney, Hanston, Kansas; Nicholas Ney, Caldwell, Idaho; Edward Ney, Hanston, Kansas; Mrs. Otto Kultgen, Fredonia, Wis.; Miss Anna __ Ney, Milwaukee; Wm. Ney, Milwaukee; Mrs. Wm. Stern, Fredonia and Joseph G. Ney, Sheboygan. A number of grand children and one great grand child also survive. (8 Apr 1926)
