Mrs. Florence Lasley, relict of the late King Lasley, was taken ill Sunday evening, July 3rd at her home a few miles east of Lancaster and passed away about midnight.
She was the daughter of Perry and Catherine McDaniel and was born near Lancaster, Wednesday, June 26, 1867, being at the time of her unexpected death 71 years, and 7 days.
She gave her heart to God at an early age. November 2, 1884, she was united in marriage with King David Lasley and to this union two daughters were born: Mrs. Hila Lewis of Downing, Mo., and Edith Blanche who died in infancy.
She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Mrs. Lewis, one brother, Willie McDaniel, three grand children and four great grand children. Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the Lancaster M. E. church Tuesday afternoon by Rev. Thurman Andrews and interment was in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
