A Native of Princeton, W.VA., she had been a Peninsula resident since 1964 where she worked as the bookeeper for Kecoughtan Laundry for 35 year until her retirement in 2003. Millie had a great love for her family and her pets. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, playing Bingo and trips to Dover Downs.
Preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Elinor Neal, and a brother, William Neal.
Survivors include her husband, James "Jim" Hudgins, Sr, five children, Sherry Buchanan and her husband, Al, of Yorktown, Cathy Barstow and her husband, Tom, of Moyock, N.C., James Hudgins Jr. and his wife, Joy, of Gloucester, Va., Donna Hudgins of Newport News, and Jerry Hudgins and his wife Teresa of Hampton,, her sister Lou Meadows, and her husband Rick, of Rural Retreat, Va. two brothers Melvin Neal and his wife Rita, and John Neal and his wife Carol, all of Princeton, W.VA., 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2p.m. Thursday, Feb 8, 2007, at Parklawn Memorial Park by Pastor Stephen J. Crane. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home, downtown Hampton.
