SPRINGFIELD - Christina L. "Suzie" Patterson, 81, of Springfield passed away on Friday, Jan. 8, 2010, at her home.
She was born May 17, 1928, in Rochester, the daughter of Ashel and Garnet Neal Lash. She married Fremont H. Patterson on June 12, 1948, in Arkansas; he preceded her in death in 2008.
Suzie worked at the Taft's Drive-In-Dairy, Angelo's Pizza and at the Icy Root Beer Drive-In.
She also was preceded in death by her sister, Rose Bush.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda S. (Terry) Spurlock of Pennsylvania and Karen L. (Kent) Richmond of Springfield; grandchildren, Matt (Sarah) Spurlock or Kansas City, Lauri (Brandon) Saft of Pennsylvania, Jay (Jackie) Richmond and Dave (Dani) Richmond; five great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; a sister, Irene Sutzer of Springfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Dec. 11, 2010, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester. Graveside services will be held at Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vaughn Beeman officiating. Burial will be at Vigal Cemetery.
