Louis Gottlieb Bartruff was born October 1, 1888 in Eustis Nebraska, the son of Gottlieb Christian Bartruff and Katherine Rosine Gall.
On October 17, 1912 he married Mathilda Schaad in Newberg, Oregon. She died March 13, 1920 leaving him with one son. On Nevember 27, 1924 he Marie N. Lang. They had two more sons and a daughter. She died March 19, 1974.
Mr. Bartruff lived in the Eustis and Cozad areas all his life and was a farmer. He was a member of the Eustis United Methodist Church for more than 75 years.
He died May 4, 1981 at the Cozad Hospital. He was 92 years old.
