Mary Ellen Wilson Roberts, widow of Jimmy Gravitt and Ralph Roberts, 71, died Tuesday, January 5, 2010. She was born to Stella Brown Wilson and the late Sanford Wilson on June 6, 1938 in Casey County. She was a retired employee of Union Underwear and a member of East Frankfort Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, David (Shannon) Gravitt of Owenton; one stepdaughter, Beverly (Gary) Powell of Louisville; one stepson, Dale (Sharon) Roberts of Frankfort; one granddaughter, Nicole Gravitt; three step-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Tandy of Versailles, Martha Woolums and Carol (Rick) Payton, both of Frankfort; two brothers, Clifford (Judy) Wilson and C.D. (Rita) Wilson, both of Frankfort; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Harold Hammond. She was preceded in death by her brother, Earl Wilson.

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2010 at Clark Funeral Home-Versailles Road with Reverend Larry Brown officiating. Casket bearers are Sandy Wilson, Gary Tandy, Dow Wilson, T.J. Gains, Tommy Hockensmith Jr. and Jeffery Roberts. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Service at the cemetery will be private.
