Sims Services Held Today

ESTELLINE - Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today in the First Methodist Church for Aultman M. Sims, 75, a retired Newlin community farmer, who died Wednesday morning in Childress General Hospital.

Officiating will be the Rev. C.R. Smelser, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Robert H. Knight of Childress. Graveside rites will be conducted by member of the Simmons-Noel American Legion Post. Burial will be in Newlin Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis.

Mr. Sims, a native of San [sic] Rock, Ala., had resided in the Newlin community, 12 miles southeast of Memphis, for many years. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Methodist Church in Estelline.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Edith, of the home; one son, Don C. of Cleburne; one daughter, Mrs. LaTrice Nelson of Childress; one brother, Mack of Hedley; one sister, Mrs. Jim Tidwell, of Hedley; and two grandchildren.
