Rogers Rites To Be Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel may [sic] Rogers, 85, of Estelline, will be held, at 10 a.m. Monday in the First Baptist Church in Estelline, with Rev. Finis Marchman, pastor, and Leon Barnes, minister of the Church of Christ in Tulia officiating. Burial will be in the Newlin Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home in Memphis.

Mrs. Rogers died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Hall County Hospital.

Born May 10, 1893 in Hilton, Okla., she married Albert Jackson Rogers May 2, 1907 in Silverton. They moved to Estelline in 1919. He preceded her in death in 1965.

Survivors include three daughters, Juanita Fair of Houston; Mary McAlister of Sheridan, Wy.; and Laverne Millender of Kalispell, Mont.; four sons, H.J. (Doc) Rogers of Childress; Clyde Rogers of Turkey; J.A. Rogers Jr. of Brownfield; and Virgil Rogers of Guymon, Okla.; two sisters; one brother; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
