McClelland Kay "Bubby" Cousins, 54, of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Karns City, died at 10:55 p.m. Saturday at Shands Hospital, Gainesville, Fla., after an extended illness. Born in Sugar Creek Township, Armstrong County, Nov. 14, 1934, he was a son of McClelland Kay and Adda May Roudebush Cousins Sr. Mr. Cousins had retired from the state Department of Transportation, where he had been an equipment operator, after 17 years of service. Since moving to Florida in 1983, he had been employed as a bus driver for the past two years by the Osceola County School Board and Transportation Service. He was a member of Moose Lodge 1056, Kissimmee, and Bishop Madden Post 488 of the American Legion, of Kaylor. Surviving are his companion, Alice Mae Snow of Kissimmee; six sisters, Mrs. Charles (Armeida) McElravy of Karns City, Mrs. Harold (Betty Jane) Hutchison of Ford Cliff, Mrs. Henrietta McElravy and Mrs. George (Joann) Ion, both of Karns City, Mrs. Carole Blystone of East Brady and Mrs. Robert (Sherry) Gibson of Fairview, Petrolia R.D. 1; a brother, Virgil Roy Cousins of Karns City; and a number of nieces and nephews. Six infant brothers and sisters preceded him in death. COUSINS — Friends of McClelland Kay 'Bubby' Cousins of Kissimmee, Fla., formerly of Karns City, who died Saturday, April 8, 1989, will be received at the Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home, Petrolia, from 7 to 9 p .m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home, with his brother-In-law, the Rev. Harold Hutchison, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy, Ford City, and his brother, Deacon Virgil R. Cousins of the Christ gospel Church, Karns City, Officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Chicora R .D. 1. Arrangements by Hillls. The family requests that memorial donaons be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
