Leopold Adolph Ferdinand Vogel, known as Leo, was the second of four children born to Capt. Leopold Ramie Vogel (1842-1907) and his wife Mary Catharine Reeves Vogel (1840-1922).

Leo was baptized on January 29, 1872 at the Church of St. Mary of the Annunciation in Charleston, SC. He married Ida E. Perpall in October 1897. The couple had two daughters: Thelma Louise (1898-1976) and Theonie Marie (1901-1902).

Funeral service were held this morning from the Cathedral for the late Leo A Vogel, who died at the family home in this city yesterday morning at an early hour.

Mr Vogel was a son of the late Captain and Mrs Leo A Vogel, prominent resident of this city, and had lived here practically all his life, although he was born in Charleston, SC in 1872.

Many relatives and friends were in attendance at this morning's service, which was s----ed with a requiem mass. Mrs Bagwell was at the organ and --id Colee sang.

Interment was in the family lot in San Lorenzo cemetery.
