Daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Skov) Terp and was the wife of the late John M. Adam, who died in 1982. She grew up in Allston and was married in 1939, and active in the Hill Memorial Baptist Church in Allston, where she served at treasurer. She had made her home in Littleton since 1955 and worked as an office manager for J. Fred Herpy Dairy for many years. Josephine was active in the Littleton Baptist Church, where she served as a Deaconess and as the Church Collector. In addition to enjoying family and traveling, she enjoyed gardening and especially keeping track of the various bird life attracted to her yard.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth J. Adam of Littleton and Robert A. Adam of Shirley; a brother, Harry Terp of Yarmouth; a sister, Dorothy Haight of Brookline, New Hampshire; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, June 14, at 2 pm. Burial at Westlawn Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to the Hill Memorial Fund, Allston, MA 02134.
