A. H. Baiden Jeweler of Conway Dies

Conway Sept 4 (Special) Arthur Hamilton Baiden Sr retired jeweler of Conway died unexpectedly this afternoon at his home on Laurel Street.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon from the Conway Methodist Church by the Rev AF Ragan. Interment will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Friends may call at the Goldfinch Funeral Home until the house of service.

Mr. Baiden was born in Toronto Canada, February 10 1883, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Baiden. He moved to the United Sates to make his home in New York State. Later he opened a jewelry business at Georgetown moving to Conway 18 years ago.

He was married to the former Miss Willie Huggins of Nichols in 1908. He was a member of the Conway Methodist Church and the Masonic Order.

Survivors include the widow three sons AH Baiden Jr of Rock Hill, HG Baiden of Conway, and F. Ed Baiden of Myrtle Beach; one daughter Mrs. Charles W. Mercer of Georgetown; one brother Will Baiden of Toronto; one sister Miss Ella Baiden of Toronto and ten grandchildren.
