The victim of a heart attack, John Schuricht, 65, passed away unexpectedly at about 9:30 Monday morning at the home of his son Arthur in the town of Russell. He had been assisting his son with chores in the barn, and was stricken while at work.
The day before he had observed his birthday anniversary at his home at 718 Fourth street here, and had attended the German services at the St. Peter Reformed church in the morning.
The deceased was born January 30, 1867, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johann Gottlieb Schuricht, on the homestead farm in the town of Russell now owned by his son. He was married Nov. 4, 1893 to Miss Mathilda Friederich of Mequon near Thiensville, the couple settling on the homestead. Here they remained until November, 1919, when they sold the farm to their only son, Arthur and moved to Kiel. They have resided here ever since.
The couple had always been members of the St. Paul Evangelical church in the town of Russell, until this last Christmas when they became members of the St. Peter Reformed church here.
Besides his son and widow, he is survived by two grandchildren, Lester and Elroy Schuricht, and by one brother, Gustave of Glenbeulah. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
